Annual Lunch 2021 Update

The association has a tradition to host a lunch event for members, affiliates, clients and friends each year at one of the City of London’s finest venues, this is combined with our own AGM and is typically held in November. We are therefore fast approaching the time when plans would be being made, guest lists drawn up and inspiration sought for the Chairman’s speech. Due to the pandemic through 2020, we naturally could not go ahead with this event last year and we had hoped that by now we would be in a position to announce an event for 2021.

We feel as a committee however, that with most companies and surveyors still being predominantly home-based and with the uncertainty surrounding how more frequent personal gatherings will affect the transmission rate, and the typical winter cold and flu season, that this November is a little too soon to be arranging a large gathering of the marine cargo community.

We must first safeguard the wellbeing of our members and therefore will not be holding the luncheon in 2021.

We hope that the pandemic situation will continue to improve and when we feel that it would be an appropriate time to arrange a social event, we will do so. In the meantime, we, as a committee hope that you are all safe and well and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
